MESHA DONALDSON
After completing law school at the University of Windsor, I was called to the Ontario Bar in 2011. While at Windsor, I was the head of the Pro Bono Students program in my last year and volunteered at the Legal Aid Clinic. After articling at Canada's oldest family run law firm in Toronto, I started practicing Family Law in Durham Region, my home. At the previous firm where I was employed, I was named a Partner after three short years.
I genuinely enjoy helping my clients. I have negotiated a significant amount of separation agreements, marriage contracts / prenuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements. I have also had success in helping my clients with their court cases, including claims for parenting time, decision-making responsibility property division, child and spousal support. I pride myself on providing my clients with efficient and effective legal solutions. Whether it be the negotiation of an agreement or a court case, I never “sugar coat” things for my clients, and provide them with realistic expectations.
In addition to practicing Family Law, I enjoy helping clients prepare Wills and Powers of Attorney. I will offer you sound advice on what should (and should not) go into your Will and answer any questions you may have. I understand that preparing a Will can be nerve wracking, so I will work on your Will with you at your preferred pace. I also assist executors with probating estates and the sometimes confusing paperwork that comes along with this process.
